Can you think your way to success?

by: Stephane Therrien

Why look outside of ourselves for things that can only be found on the inside? Things like true happiness and success is found within us. Success is a process and the result of a special attitude. You must be successful in mind before you can become successful in life.

Through history, there has been one common item in all success story, a positive inner attitude. The subconscious plays a huge role in our success and failure. As humans, we like to find excuses about why we are not successful in our life, blame circumstances. But really, we are responsible for every one of our failures, and therefore, also our successes.

We are programmed throughout our lives. The way we think. Feel, react is a result of the way we have been raised, society or memories of past experiences. So the fears we have today are the results of our past history, whether lived or instilled into us by someone. We must reprogram our subconscious to be more positive. We must find all our excuses deep within us and learn to break them all. That process is done through are subconscious. We must learn to use the part of our brain the schooling system has told us to stop using all these years.

How do we reprogram ourselves? After so many years of being programmed by the outside world and circumstances, the process is not instant. But if we work at it, we can achieve greatness. A simple formula taken from the French pharmacist Emile Coué who made the discovery of self suggestion is simply telling ourselves:” Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” Repeat this sentence to yourself every day, about 20 times a day, especially in a relaxed mood.

Is the life you are living now, your perfect life? If you won the lottery today, would you still be living the life you are now, doing the same job you presently are at the moment? Lottery is not a great option. So if you answered no, then what can you do to change your life and achieve that better life? What are the obstacles preventing you from moving on further to success? Picture the success you want in your life and make a list of goals towards that success. Every successful person has visualized their success before achieving it. No matter at what point they were in their lives, they imagined their success and made every day in every way get better and better.

All great successes in history started with a dream. A dream is a projection of our inner thoughts, our inner passions. Visualize your dreams, visualize yourself being successful and take the decision to act on that passion and you are on your way to great success.

Of course we will make wrong decisions, but if we make more right decisions than wrong ones, we are on our way to success. Usually, our right decisions payoffs are much greater than our loss during our wrong decisions. As long as we use those wrong decisions and learn from them. If you want to speed up the process, look at the possibilities where people see difficulties. Don’t look at the obstacles, but look at the pay off at the end. There will be obstacles in every great endeavors, no exceptions.

When taking decisions, trust your inner gut feeling, your intuition. Your intuition is your subconscious communicating with you. The more you reprogram your subconscious, the better it will guide you through your important decisions.

Of course, all this works best if you enjoy what you are doing. Which brings us to whether you are doing what you want most in life. Too many people are in a life they hate, a job they hate. People’s biggest regret at retirement has almost always been: “What if…?” We never regret doing something an the long term, but we always regret not doing something. “What if I had started that business…?” “What if I had applied for that position…?” “What if I had acted on that idea…?” Life is too short to start regretting it. Act now. Now is the best time to act on that idea you have, that better life you dream of. Listen to your inner instincts. Let your dreams guide you and think more with your subconscious. Take your life in the direction it leads you. And when you become the best at what you love, the wealth, the success will follow and so will your true happiness.
